Last night, Ted and I were shopping in St. Louis County. We discovered an Italian restaurant in the area the last time we were there, but it wasn’t mealtime on that visit. This time, we decided to try it. It was walking distance from where we were shopping, but as we were walking to the restaurant, we passed another restaurant we hadn’t tried. The menu looked good and we were hungry, so we changed our plan, stopped walking, and stepped inside.
Ted judges restaurants by the quality of their grilled salmon and said this one ties his Number One Favorite. It was called “plank grilled bourbon salmon” and was actually grilled and served on a small, flat piece of wood and coated with a honey and bourbon sauce. I had “Tuscan brick chicken” (perhaps grilled–but not served–on a Tuscan brick) and it was delicious. The baked potato was cooked to perfection. We will be eating here again and, someday, we’ll keep walking and will try that Italian restaurant too.
